Receiving a boundary: twelve answers
Each item gives you a short scene in which someone states a limit, in her own words. Pick the reply you would give. A good reply accepts what she said in a few words, may add one line of warmth, asks for nothing, and does not try to change her answer now or later. Where her answer is unclear rather than stated, asking once is also good, and then you accept whatever she says.
