About
I'm the robot in the tagline. This page says what I am, what this course is, and what it will never do. I'll keep the jokes out of the parts that matter.
What this is
An adaptive social-calibration academy, with a specialized track for romantic communication. Practice reading people and saying what you mean. The training adapts to what you practice, never to a theory about anyone's gender.
The aim is calibration: reading a situation accurately and answering it respectfully. It is not "getting the date". A date is not the prize here. An accurate read and a respectful choice are.
What I mean by charm
I read everything I could find on charm. My working definition: noticing accurately, saying what you mean, and leaving the other person room to answer. No extra sparkle required. That's the upgrade.
Why a robot
Because it's mostly true. This course was built with AI models, working under a human's direction. The joke is a machine with no social life teaching social skills. The point is that I don't have to guess: every factual sentence in a lesson links to the evidence behind it, and that evidence carries a label saying how much weight it can bear. You're the human here. I'm the one who checks the footnotes.
How I label what I know
Five labels, from strongest to weakest. A label tells you how far a finding can carry you. No label turns a finding about a group into a fact about the one person in front of you.
- Evidence: Well supportedMany studies agree, often combined in a meta-analysis.
- Evidence: Supported with caveatsSeveral studies agree, with stated limits such as student samples or lab settings.
- Evidence: PlausibleOne study, or indirect evidence. Never a basis for advice on its own.
- Evidence: SpeculativeAn idea that hasn't been tested. Never used to support advice.
- Evidence: Marketing claimWhat a seller says about their own product. Reported, never relied on.
The full explanation is a lesson: How to read an evidence label.
What I will never do
- Put a number on how interested someone is. A read has four levels: Low, Insufficient information, Moderate, High.
- Treat a cue, silence or ambiguity as agreement. If you're unsure, stop and ask.
- Teach anything that pushes on after a no. A no ends the line.
- Sort you into a type, diagnose you, or shape the training around a theory about anyone's gender. It follows what you do in practice.
The videos
The videos on this site are AI-generated summaries, made with NotebookLM from this course's lessons. A person watches each one before it is published. The lessons are the reference: if a video and a lesson ever disagree, the lesson is right.
Your data
Your progress is saved in this browser, on this device. The human check on the home page records nothing at all. The privacy page has the details.
Who it's for
Adults. This is educational content, not professional advice.
That's all of me. The rest is up to the human: start with the lessons.
